Dortmund, Man U, Spurs, Arsenal all chasing Sancho

TRANSFER TALK

the Independent write that 17-year-old (18 next March) Tottenham Hotspur target Jadon Sancho has returned to London and is refusing to train with Manchester City. He has apparently told them he is not going to return to the club.

Arsenal have been tracking him for a year and one of their young players is his best friend. They are reported by the Sun to have offered him £30,000-a-week wages.

Manchester United are also pushing hard to try and get him to sign for them, while Borussia Dortmund have made a last ditch attempt to sign him by promising him the opportunity first team football. It was using the same carrot that they were able to sign youngster Ousmane Dembele. German magazine Kicker report he has already visited Dortmund and had a look around the facilities.

At the moment he is refusing to sign a new contract with Manchester City and has asked the club to release him. His Twitter profile has an exclamation mark which possibly suggests he doesn't expect to remain a City player?

  1. Apparently he is homesick for London so it could be between we and Arsenal. He is more likely to start at Spurs, but his best mate could be a draw. Time will tell.

    1. Agreed. I suspect he'd benefit from coming to us, but youngsters are often the least well-placed to make the choice. Let's hope he has some sage counsel.

If I'm fair though, a move down the road wouldn't be the worst outcome for him.
