Spurs youngsters physically and tactically superior

The youngster winning the European Under-21 tournament at the Henri Guérin Center in Ploufragan, France was our first victory at the annual tournament (our fourth participation) and we did it with some young players, who remained unbeaten throughout the weekend.

A report from France suggest the Tottenham lads like 20-year-old (21 next February) midfielder Luke Amos and 20-year-old (21 in September) midfielder Joe Pritchard were physically and tactically better than the other seven teams competing.

We were very strong defensively and dangerous from the wide areas, where 18-year-old (19 next March) Keanan Bennetts operated and won the Player of the Tournament Award. Young 20-year-old (21 next July) striker Shayon Harrison scored 3 goals including one in the final.

In that final we conceded 2 goals to Standard Liege before winning on penalties, but during the group stage of the tournament we didn't conceded at all. At the heart of that defence were 18-year-old (19 next Mach) centre-back Japhet Tanganga and 19-year-old (20 in November) centre-back Christian Maghoma with 17-year-old (18 next May) Belgian youngster Jonathan de Bie behind them in goal who dived to his right to save the penalty that gave us the tournament victory.
