Milos Veljkovic return raises questions

The news that Milos Veljkovic is returning to Tottenham after Middlesbrough decided not to extend his loan period raises some questions.

Milos Veljkovic return raises questions

The report Teeside Gazette only talks about the 19-year-old Serbian as a central midfielder and doesn't once mention him as a centre-back.

Tottenham have been using him in the Development Squad as a centre-back, from where he captained the side, so Middlesbrough has just been training and playing in midfield, presumably then he has been training as a central midfielder while he was there.

Is that what Tottenham wanted? He can play there yes, he has made brief substitute appearances for us there but isn't it as a centre-back we see his future, why would he be playing there fr the Development Squad otherwise.

There has been benefits from going to Teeside no doubt, he has been training and had to learn to fight for a chance as well as having to cope with training hard and not playing. How you react in these situations is equally as important as how you react when given a chance.

Ryan Fredericks was sent to Middlesbrough to work on his defensive positioning so what was Veljkovic sent to the same club to work on?
