Sebastian Giovinco baffles
I haven't really paid much attention to the stories linking us with Juventus striker Sebastian Giovinco but seeing some forum folk saying he would be a good buy I thought i'd better look.
Although he has 20 caps for Italy he simply doesn't play enough, most of his time is spent sitting on a bench so if he can't get in a Juventus side who are poor in Europe each season then he doesn't sound as if he is going to strengthen us. I suppose we have to decide what his role would be in the squad to evaluate his impact, would he be Christian Eriksen's understudy?
He hasn't scored a goal this season and scored 3 in total last season. Why would we want a 27-year-old with that sort of scoring record if he is making assists? Sign him as a free agent, increase his value for a season and sell unless he proves a big hit, is that the idea?

He may be available on a free transfer but there simply has to be better available.
