Besiktas can't agree Kaboul price

Tottenham have been locked in talks with Besiktas over the transfer of Younes kaboul with Daniel Levy wanting £5 million, id previous reports are accurate, for the unwanted club captain.

Everton are also known to be interested in him and he could be part of a swap deal for James McCarthy, while their is also interest in him from Italy.

Besiktas vice-president Ahmet Nur Çebi has said that talks with Tottenham have stalled over the asking price.

“Younes Kaboul was on our shortlist but unfortunately we have not been able to agree on price.
“I do not see this transfer as being financially viable, we cannot meet the price Tottenham want for him, the only way this deal can go ahead is if we agree on price.”

Now we don't know what Besiktas offered, probably under £3 million but we do need to move players. There is however plenty of time left in the transfer window so it may be that we see if a deal can be done elsewhere for a better price and if not we return to the deal to thrash out a price.

Besiktas manager Slaven Bilic wants him as he revealed to Turkish news outlet Askam.

“We need a right-back but I would like to see Younes Kaboul join as well."
