Adebayor on Lazio shortlist

Lazio have Emmanuel Adebayor on a shortlist of potential strikers, but given the wage demands of the player Spurs fans would most like to get rid of and the fact that he still thinks he is special suggest a move is highly unlikely.

He is apparently on a shortlist of four troubled strikers who they feel they may be able to get cheap and because of their troubles no doubt on a cheaper wage.

TMW report the four as being 25-year-old Alexandre Pato, currently playing for Sao Paulo on loan from Corinthians, 25-year-old Mario Balotelli whose only goal for Liverpool in the Premier League last season was the winner against us, 24-year-old Fabio Borini, also at Liverpool and 31-year-old Emmanuel Adebayor.

On the face of it a deal looks unlikely but Adebayor only has a year left on his contract at Tottenham, you would expect, would be very amenable to him going to Italy for a season-long loan. Would we pay a higher percentage of his salary if he were to go abroad rather than to West Ham, the Aston Vila move looks dead because of his refusal to move house to the Midlands.

I won't be getting my hopes up though.
