Which Spurs pair combine for the most goals?
Players who fit and work together raise the standard of each as individuals, the greater the number of successful combinations the better the team will perform. In every side there will a dominant partnership when it comes to creating and scoring goals so who is it at Tottenham that combines more than any other pair.
First I would point out that in the history of the Premier League a Tottenham pair sit joint second on the all-time list for assists by one player for a particular team mate and the combination may well surprise a few. Former England winger Darren Anderton supplied Teddy Sheringham with 20 goals, only surpassed by Lampard supplying Drogba.
As for last season most Spurs fans would assume, I expect, Christian Eriksen to have supplied Harry Kane th most or perhaps Erik Lamela, given he had 7 assists, supplying Kane but our top combination was in fact Nacer Chadli supplying Harry Kane.
Premier League All-time Combinations
The same combinations table for the 2014/15 season sees Harry Kane being supplied by Nacer Chadli again in joint second..
Taking that a step further, which combination have supplied the most goals for each other? The All time Premier League list for players linking up for goals by either player is again headed by Drogba and Lampard with Anderton and Sheringham this time sitting third with 27 goals.
Again the same table for the 2014/15 Premier League season sees Chadli and Kane as our most productive partnership.
You can see Chelsea have three in that combination list for last season so it isn't a case of a side working to stop one combination repeating a successful season because there are other dominant partnerships to conend with. As the creative hub of our side Christian Eriksen should be in that list but he doesn't assist in as many goals as he should, something he needs to be adding to his game this season.
