Tottenham consider loan move for Lambert

Tottenham are looking for striker reinforcements and back up for Harry Kane who has cemented his place as first choice. Roberto Soldado is currently his back up and Emmanuel Adebayor has voodoo issues.

The Togo striker will only play i there is nobody else after his row with Kane and unsettling influence on the younger players at the club. Pochettino wants him out and has considered bringing in a loan signing if we can't offload him and buy another replacement.

Ricky Lambert has been pencilled in as a possible, given that he is not getting much Premier League football at Liverpool and Pochettino knows what he would be getting. Thus far Lambert has only played 576 minutes of Premier League football, the equivalent of just 6.4 games. New Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew is also looking to take the striker who has scored 2 goals all season on loan.

Whether Liverpool would be prepared to loan him out is another matter but it would only be a deal likely to happen late in the window.
