Inter Milan are showing Tottenham the way forward and their approach coincides with Mauricio Pochettino's agreed way forward with Daniel Levy and the Tottenham board.

Inter Milan director Piero Fassone spoke of the realities in football rather than fans perceptions, when he said all players are available for transfer. But more importantly he went to reveal the Inter way and what gives them an attraction. They know how to work with players to motivate and improve them.

"I've learned that no player is off the market in football, it doesn't work that way. It's possible to keep Icardi and Kovacic although there are other clubs have more appeal than us.
"Inter can compensate with the motivation we give players, with the opportunity to grow that we can give them.
"I'm confident that Icardi, Kovacic and Dodo want to stay with us. If then a big club arrives that wants them, at some point it would be right to make them happy.
"The extensions? Ausilio has met with Handanovic, Kovacic and Icardi's agents, there are the conditions to arrive to an agreement with all three. It makes me optimistic to see to see that the players want to stay."

I have been saying the same thing about Spurs, that we need to become world leaders in assessing a player mentally, before we buy, then work with them mentally for continual improvement. If we do that then we have a pull for young players or any player who wants to improve his game.

All sport at the top level is mental and if we gain a reputation for improving players mentally then we will attract players we would not normally be able to attract and on wages less than we would normally have to pay, thus we can compete with the big boys far more effectively.

In marketing it's about finding your unique selling position and attracting players to  club is simply a form of marketing, what is our unique selling point currently? What makes us different, what is our pull, does anyone know? Do we simply want to remain as a stepping stone to something bigger?
