Three-pronged attack after Pochettino speculation

“I have the impression Mauricio Pochettino is admired in Barcelona and will have a big decision to make in the summer, because he will want Spurs to continue his progression.

“If he gets that there is no doubt he will stay, but he has directors at Barcelona that admire him and he has been on the list for a while. I am not surprised, even though he is closely linked to Espanyol and moving to Barcelona might be difficult, because he has the quality, style and philosophy to succeed.”
“Ronald Koeman has said himself he hasn't got a call yet. He is doing a good job at Everton and has been named in shortlists in the past, but I am not sure if he will be now, and Barcelona will have to decide before going for another head coach what football they want to put in practice."
That was what Guillem Balague said on one of his Sky Sports appearances when discussing the Spanish football scene.

During this international break much was made of the fact that Mauricio Pochettino met the Barcelona president, but as Balague also pointed out, that was an accidental meeting when they both happened to be dining in the same restaurant.

Pochettino has a home in Spain and returns there when he can, international breaks give him the opportunity to do that for a few days. His meeting then wasn't a planned accident.

When asked Pochettino confirmed he was happy at Tottenham and enjoying turning the club around.

"It's important to be focused on the game. I can't say anything about that. I'm at Tottenham. I am very happy, I have four more years on my contract, I'm enjoying an exciting project. It's true it's not an easy project, but I'm very happy here."

We are now coming to the crux of the season where the hard work we have doe to put ourselves in a strong position can not be allowed to go to waste. The FA Cup is still an objective, qualification for the UEFA Champions League is still an objective and finishing above Arsenal is still an objective. The latter two will do for starters, but all three would be better.
