Spurs interested in 25yo Brazilian

There seem to be plenty of Tottenham Hotspur stories in the Italian press this weekend and today with TMW bringing us the news of Spurs interest in Alexandre Pato.

He is a 25-year-old (26 in September) Brazilian who falls out with fans, currently on loan at Sao Paulo from Corinthians and interesting Lazio and Wolfsburg who have spoken to his representatives. Pato has been hawked around the Premier League, the former AC Milan striker was offered to both West Ham and Crystal Palace.

He signed for AC Milan in 2007 when he was a 17-year-old scored 51 league goals in 117 Serie A performances, but struggled with injuries. He failed to recover his form and returned home so he would be quite a gamble. You would think there are better options, especially as he was only offered to sides considered to be mid table Premier League teams.

Crystal Palace are keeping an eye on the situation of 28-year-old (29 next January) Loïc Rémy at Chelsea who would perhaps be a better option for us if he is unhappy with the arrival of Radamel Falcao.
