Spurs not interested in Henandez

There are plenty of newspaper reports published on websites linking us with Javier Hernández so a little digging was required to see where we are with this one.

The only answer I am getting from several sources is that we aren't getting anywhere with it, he isn't a target. It is not thought that he would suit our style. The reports of Tottenham preparing an offer or making an offer, and it would depend upon who you read to determine the supposed offer as several figures have been guessed at, are wide of the mark.

This is presumably a story put about by his agent in an attempt to try and drum up interest from a bigger club than West Ham. The fear of loss is a powerful emotion and if a club has him as a potential target but hasn't made a move yet then the fear of loss may make them make a move, that would be the theory anyway.

Stuttgart's 19-year-old (20 in March) striker Timo Werner, WBA 21-year-old (22 in August) Saido Berahino and 21-year-old (22 in August) Clinton N'Jie of Lyon remain our current targets to fill the additional young striker berth. We have made informal offers but no official bids, as is normal in every potential transfer.

we need to conclude a deal for Emmanuel Adebayor to leave ideally before we bring another striker in so we may still have to wait into August yet.
