Will Adebayor be fit for Man City?

Tottenham have 21 players involved with 32 games on international duty during this break so Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping for no injury worries, although only 13 of those players are with the first-team squad, involved in 20 games.

Will Adebayor be fit for Man City?

There are European Championship qualifiers, African Cup of Nations qualifiers, friendlies and age group tournaments taking place so whether players play or not there is still the travelling factor involved, especially as we have a 12.45 kick-off on Saturday 18 October away to Manchester City.

Erik Lamela for instance is not playing in Europe this time but in South America and Asia, Emmanuel Adebayor and Nabil Bentaleb are in the African heat.

Harry Kane and Eric Dier have their final game on Tuesday 14 Oct, our Belgian trio and Ben Davies a day earlier on Monday. Vlad Chiriches last game is Tuesday, as is Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela and Hugo Lloris. Andros Townsend's last game in Sunday 2 October so all of them will have time to rest and prepare.

Emmanuel Adebayor and Nabil Bentaleb however don't play their final game until Wednesday which means Thursday in recovery  day and Friday a light training day. If you remember Nabil Bentleb was left out after the last international break with Pochettino saying he got back late (Thursday) from international duty so wasn't ready to play.

I would expect therefore to see Adebayor substituted in the second half as fatigue sets in which will give a chance for Harry Kane or Roberto Soldado to play. However if he feels Adebayor has arrived back too late and may not be ready then Soldado or Kane may get a chance from the outset.
