Lloris to be offered new contract

Unsurprisingly a story emerges that Tottenham are to offer Hugo Lloris an improved contract to stay at White Hart Lane this summer.

Lloris to be offered new contract

When you have so few quality players who have actually performed for you it is rather obvious that you would offer a new contract to keep one of them there. He has been the ultimate professional getting on with his work and producing a string of fine performances.

The Frenchman should have received the Tottenham player of the season award but fans have been blinded but Christian Eriksen performing for 2 months and the accolade went to him instead. Hardly fair on Lloris who has been performing all season.

He refused to commit himself to Spurs when interviewed earlier in the season suggesting he will review the situation at the end of the season and that he came to Tottenham expecting to play Champions League football.

It is thought despite interest he doesn't want to return to playing in France. Barcelona have been reported as being interested in signing him and did have a transfer embargo. The Spanish giants are going to appeal that so FIFA have announced it will be put on hold pending an appeal.
