Spurs send Broomfiels, Carey and Braund to scout U21 Euros



Tottenham have three scouts listed as attending the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship in Polans from Friday 16 June to Friday 30 June. There are actually four on the official list, but the same name appears twice.

It looks as if we have brought back Ian Broomfield for this tournament as he is one of the three listed, the other two being, Brian Carey and Peter Braund. The last named is a former scout for Manchester United who has now started work for us.

The tournament has been expanded from eight to twelve teams.

Group A: England, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden
Group B: FYR Macedonia, Portugal, Serbia, Spain
Group C: Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Italy
Group winners progress plus the best runner-up.

Semi-final 1: winner A v runner-up B/C or winner C
Semi-final 2: winner B v runner-up A/C or winner C
