Paulinho to Bayern Munich

TRANSFER TALK

German giants Bayern Munich could make a surprise move in the summer transfer window by signing former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paulinho, according to RMC Sport.

The 28-year-old (29 in July) flopped at Tottenham and looked at times as if he was protecting himself from injury for the World Cup in his home country and then not trying. He was accused by more than one person of simply being at the club for the money and all bet confirmed that by going to the backwater fo football, China, for money. Not that we minded.

He was a quality player it seems before he joined us and had a poor World Cup. He was bought to be our version of Frank Lampard, someone who could arrive late into the box and score goals, however, he was rather poor in front of goal when we saw him and seemed to panic.

After a bright start he went into terminal decline and we were glad to see the back of him. There is no comparison between him and Dele Alli, the man who replaced him in the arrive late from midfield role. In fact, he has been so good at it that we have pushed him further forward and we have changed our system so as we have seen this season, he now has an even greater impact.
