How would you rate Spurs shooting from range?

Under Andre Villas-Boas Tottenham were a team with a slow build-up, who passed sideways and shot from range. Fortunately, one Gareth Bale was at the club with a near 50% accuracy from range and if memory serves an 18% success rate.

That long-range shooting ability is rare and hasn't been replaced. Under Mauricio Pochettino we still have plenty of long shots but have added creativity. It is simple, but the closer to goal you shoot from the more likely you are to score, conversely the further distance you can force your opponent to shoot from the less likely they are to score.

Our shooting from distance is generally very poor, Mason rarely hits the target, Townsend offers little goal threat, Lamela. Dembele, who apart from Kane and Eriksen's free-kicks forces the keeper into wonderful rather than average saves? If you watch our shots we tend to work a shooting opening centrally and then shoot fairly centrally too. We hear the commentator telling us what a wonderful save when every keeper in the country should be making the same save at every level. How many have the keeper at full stretch tipping a shot around the post, as opposed to a yard either side of him?

The shots table from TalkSPORT is all very well, but it tells us little to be honest without adding in other factors. The media want excitement, the commentators job is to get you excited, yet being excited is no way to accurately analyse a game.
