Mandžukić signing pushed Llorente to Juventus exit door

There have been stories and quotes recently that Fernando Llorente is staying at Juventus which is probably not the case.

These all stem from his own comments to the Italian media questions when he said he wants to stay at Juventus and fight for his place with Carlos Tevez wanting to return home to Brazil.

“Right now my intention is to stay at Juve. I’ll have to talk to the club and see what they tell me. Monaco? I don’t know anything about that, I’ve just got married so I’m going on my honeymoon.
“Tevez? Let’s see if he’ll go, if he does everyone will be sorry, because he’s a great guy and a great striker. There will be a lot of changes, we’ll see what happens.”

Juventus are not short of strikers they have 19-year-old French prospect Kingsley Coman, who came on as a substitute in the UEFA Champions League Final defeat to Barcelona.

Mario Mandžukić has been signed from Atlético Madrid for £13.62 million (US$21.55m - AUS$27.89m - €19m) with a possible £1.43 million (US$2.27m - AUS$2.94m - €1.43m) in add-ons and 21-year-old Argentinian star in the making, Luciano Vietto, has joined Atlético Madrid from Villarreal to replace Mandžukić.

Paulo Dybala was signed on 4 June, although transfers don't officially happen until 1 July, from Palermo for £22.93 million (US$36.29m - AUS$46.97m - €32m) plus £5.73 million (US$9.07m - AUS$11.74m - €30.77m) in add-ons.

Former Real Madrid striker, 22-year-old Spaniard Alvaro Morata, will also be hoping to add to his 15 goals last term so Fernando Llorente, for all his good words, could find himself as fifth choice striker.

We have already spoken to Juventus and now Liverpool are being linked with an interest. It's a waiting game to see what comes out of talks he will be holding with the club, or his representatives will be holding. He certainly doesn't look to have a future there and is not going to be priced out of the market.
