Spurs face tougher task now

Tottenham failed to qualify as UEFA Europa League Group C winners after playing for a draw at Besiktas and failing to get it.

Spurs face tougher task now

Tottenham had 67% possession but didn't even bring a worthwhile save out of their goalkeeper. Everyone says Mousa Dembele played well but he was the attacking midfielder, so the second striker. How many shots did he have from inside the area? None.

Just like Eriksen he wants to stay behind the ball. Now that may fool many a fan but it isn't helping Spurs, it simply reduces our goal threat down to Soldado and Chadli. If either doesn't score, we don't score. A club needs to maximise the source of goals, not minimise it.

We are through so we van forget about the tournament for a bit, a tournament we haven't the faintest hope of winning but before we do who will we meet in the knockout stages.

If you look at the two groups we have a far harder set of teams we could face than hose we have avoided and we have to play the second leg away from home. Had we beaten Besiktas at home we would have won the group and had an easier passage.

As it is a moment of Chiriches madness put us in a position we had to get something from the return leg and we didn't. Errors do make a difference, they do have a knock-on effect. That's why error prone players should have no future at the club.
