Supporters have for too long been too happy just to hear meaningless PR rubbish from players who are trained not to say anything ad just say the right words.

We therefore get told every game is a tough game, every opponent is a tough opponent, it will be difficult, blah blah blah. The same old claptrap game after game.

Younes Kaboul may have the standing with the players to be captain but for us fans he shouldn't be a first choice player, you can't have a captain who makes mistakes in virtually every game, it's undermines hi and what he has to say.

 Kaboul is right in what he says but unless that is put into practice we'll hear the same message in different words again after the next defeat.

He turns off himself every game and makes mistakes, he got easily beaten near our byline when he had the ball because he wanted to use skill he doesn't have. He gave a penalty away against Manchester City, he cleared the ball from the goal line straight to Wanyama against Southampton only for Lloris to rescue him.

The only game he hasn't made a howler in is Arsenal, a perceived big game and one thus his concentration is 100%. Why then isn't it 100% every game? Simple, they are not perceived as big enough games.

This is not just a Kaboul problem but a problem with most of the squad. What Pochettino has to work out is which players are dragging the other players down. Are there a few mental bad apples that means the rest can't function effectively as a team?

Tough job with tough decisions to make. What we are doing so far isn't working and shows no signs of working. Fans need hope, AVB provided none, where is the hope now? This is no time for hollow PR, it's a time for the players to stand up and be counted, if they can't do that then they shouldn't remain Tottenham players.

  1. My words exactly, the age-old cancer at the club. That's always the root problem with Spurs 'players' (I always distinguish between our fan's & our players as our support is a credit to our club). More fan write-ups/phone-in's need to state this so the players can no longer hide. Signing for Spurs is now a meal-ticket to a splendid London-life, with no pressure to perform or acheive as they'll all cover each others backs so the easy-boat doesn't get rocked. Winners & leaders have desire, they don't hide/look for excuses, they won't tolerate mediocrity in their colleagues, they sweat to improve their game & leave if their colleagues lack their ambition. It's that cancer that has held us back for too long. How did Jenas, Hud, Gardener, Bunjy etc in the past & now Lennon, Naughton, Ade, etc manage to get away with idleness for so long here??? I SMH. So much freeloaders to get rid of.
  2. That is the cancer that has been eating away at our club for best part of 25yrs. More fans should point this out in write-ups/phone-ins. 'We've' supported thru thin & thin, but our club is a by-word 'among players' for easy street. It's a meal-ticket to high wage, enjoying the high-end of London life whilst not having to perform or achieve anything; it's some gig! The players all protect each other by spouting empty sound-bites in the media, thus ensuring their comfy-boats are not rocked. The lack of these 'sound-bites' when they're on the pitch & repeated lack of drive & focus is evidence of the emptiness in their words. Any real winner here, former players with talent, ambition, drive & focus will not tolerate mediocrity around them.   3. Why oh why cant Daniel levy admit his mistake in sacking Harry Redknapp WHEN he did? It was the worse timing, because we were actually going forwards as a club, now we are 1 big joke who can just scrape past lowly euro opposition. We needed a decent striker from we knew jd wanted world cup time, but had to listen to tim say, what we had was good enough when we ALL knew it wasnt. 2 bad things about harry at spurs, 1: He talks too freely for daniels liking and 2: he sold super pavlyuchenko! He was a big game scorer, unlike defoe keane and ade etc. Only biggame scorers we had were him bale berba, teddy and raf van vaart. Eriksen tries, eeryone else is pot luck.   4. I totally agree with the comments above. I am sick and tried of listening to the same excuse from players when they lose. No passion, no commitment! Also,how can you complete when you start transferring good experienced players as soon as you bring in new youngsters. They need to learn from the experienced players. Too many changes every week contributes nothing to the smooth performance of the team. Why can't Lennon get more games and why are we not playing two wingers. Come on Poch. Wake up! We are the laughing stock of London! And Mr. Levy, please sack Baldini. He has contributed nothing to the club. Some talent scout!
