Eriksen happy & seeks the Champions League with Spurs

H expressed during the last international break, when asked, that he didn't want to be running around but preferred the ball at his feet. Mauricio Pochettino's style is a high pressing game and thus plenty of controlled running around in bursts. You would be forgiven for thinking the two were not compatible but that would be to misread Eriksen's comments.

A creative midfield player naturally wants the ball as his feet to have the biggest impact he can in a game, the more time with a ball at his feet and the less time spent chasing it the better. The 22-year-old Danish international has been speaking to Tipsbladet.

"I haven't thought about moving to another club at all. I hope we can build on what we already have. It's a good team and it is a fantastic club to be at. It would be even more fun if we can become a part of the top flight. That is a realistic aim.
"When you've tried it once, everyone wants to play in the Champions League. That's where it's at. That is where the most fun games are. And then again now that we are in the Europa League we have to do our very best there as well."

He also revealed that he likes life in London and the squad Tottenham have at the moment, good news for all Spurs fans that even under high intensity training our creative hub is happy.
