Aaron Lennon Man of the First Half

The first half at Norwich didn't disturb anyone having an afternoon nap with very little happening. Within the first 10 minutes the man of the first half, Aaron Lennon cut in from the left 35 yards from goal and played a defence splitting pass that had Dembele clean through but unfortunately the Belgian couldn't take the ball in his stride.

Only 2 minutes later Capoue had go go off injured and Chadli took his place. Dembele moved to the middle from the right, Lennon switched over to the right and Chadli settled in off the left.

After 30 minutes Lennon played another beautiful diagonal through ball for Rose but he couldn't pick anyone out. After another minute it was a Lennon defensive tackle to stopped a Norwich attack.

Vertonghen looked disgruntled, moaning at his teammates about a lack of movement and lack of anticipation. Paulinho was totally anonymous. It was a poor tired first half appearance in a side that contained seven players from the midweek tie.

Halt-time a snore draw 0-0.
