Experience and youth

The League Cup gives us an opportunity to rotate players and give the squad members a game. I am particularly interested to see Fernando Llorente play a full game so while the competition may not hold much importance for some fans, it certainly holds importance for me.

Will we see Juan Foyth given his first taste of football in a Tottenham shirt so we can see what we have bought, Harry Winks can get a full game under his belt and some of the youngsters given an outing, Marcus Edwards being top of many peoples list.

Michel Vorm in goal has improved since his early days and doesn't make us nervous anymore, Kyle walker-Peters was Man of the Match against Newcastle United in the Premier League opener so many will be looking forward to seeing him again.

Shayon Harrison missed the chance of a first team start last season when he was injured, but may well feature this time, with perhaps Moussa Sissoko providing some experience.

Will we see Anthony Georgiou on the bench after catching the eye pre-season in America. Plenty of options to blend together, let's hope we are not the recipients of a shock result. As a club we need to learn to come through these ties whoever we play.
