Kane no need for release clause and Spurs late move for Llorente

TRANSFER TALK

Harry Kane: "I'm fully committed to Spurs, so there's no need to have a release clause to be honest".

Harry Kane: "Of course the gaffer will get in who he wants. I'll be interested to see who we get in."

Don't you just love the guy.

The is a report that Tottenham have made a late move for 32-year-old (33 next February) Swansea City striker Fernando Llorente. The former Spanish international (he has 24 full international caps in which he scored 7 goals) would command a fee in the region of £13.8 million (€15m - AUS$22.57m - US$17.84m).

Last season he hit 15 Premier League goals for the Welsh side in 33 games. Chelsea are close to a deal for him which may mean Chelsea would let 23-year-old (24 in October) Belgian international striker Michy Batshuayi leave, although it is apparently the player himself who doesn't want to go. Perhaps that has something to do with his wage packet.

That would suggest we are trying to bring in a short term back up for Harry Kane to allow Vincent Janssen to leave.
