Bony, Llorente, Janssen, Lemar, Sancho news

TRANSFER TALK

28-year-old (29 in December) Ivory Coast international striker Wilfried Bony, looks as if he is going to be returning to Swansea City after a £12 million (€13.01m - AUS$19.50m - US$15.45m) fee was agreed with Manchester City.

That will allow 32-year-old (33 next February) Fernando Llorente to leave with Tottenham now being favourites for his signature to perhaps replace 23-year-old (24 next June) Vincent Janssen who has a choice of destinations.

Arsenal, it appears, have made a desperate and daft offer for reported Tottenham target Thomas Lemar, a crazy £92.23 million (€100m - AUS$149.85m - US$118.76m) bid. That has got to be three times what he really should cost on what he has achieved. The market has gone nuts.

Tottenham pulled out of a deal for Jadon Sancho, who seems to have agreed deals with several clubs before changing his mind. Manchester City were reported as refusing to let him go and talks seem to have reached the conclusion that he will have to go abroad if he is to be sold, and with him refusing to train with Manchester City, he had to be.

Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund have signed the 17-year-old (18 next March) England Under-17 international winger. He'll wear Ousmane Dembélé's old number 7 shirt.
