Aurier and Sanchez, 2 upgrades and a profit, good business

TRANSFER TALK

England right-back Kyle Walker and Austrian centre-back Kevin Wimmer both wanted to leave Spurs this summer and were sold for a reported combined income of £72 million (€78.06m - AUS$117.85m - US$93.11m) including add-ons.

Kyle Walker to Manchester City -  £54 million (€58.54m - AUS$88.39m - US$69.83m)
Kevin Wimmer to Stoke City -  £18 million (€19.51m - AUS$29.46m - US$23.28m)

There replacements, Ivory Coast right-back Serge Aurier and Colombian centre-back Davinson Sanchez will cost a total outlay of  £63.65 million (€69.04m - AUS$104.16m - US$82.31m) including add-ons.

Serge Aurier from PSG - £24.91 million (€40.77m - AUS$74.95m - US$32.21m)
Davinson Sanchez from Ajax - £38.74 million (€42m - AUS$63.41m - US$50.10m)

Spurs have therefore upgraded both positions and made a £6.35 million (€6.88m - AUS$10.39m - US$58.21m) profit in the process. In addition Aurier has experience of winning trophies:

2 French Ligue 1 titles (14/15 - 15/16)
3 French Cups (14/15 - 15/16 - 16/17)
3 French League Cup wins (14/15 - 15/16 - 16/17)
1 Africa Cup of Nations title (2015)
4 French Super Cup wins (14/15 - 15/16 - 16/17 - 17/18).

That is brilliant business.
