Silva, N'Zonzi stories don't ring true, plus £5 trip to Wembley games

TRANSFER TALK

Portuguese newspaper A Bola are reporting that Tottenham Hotspur have made a second offer of about £26.34 million (€30m - AUS26.34 - AUS$44.53m) for 28-year-old (29 next March) Sporting Lisbon and Portugal midfielder Adrien Silva. The suggestion is we have bid £25 million plus £5 million add ons.

The report doesn't make any sense given our transfer policy, neither does the report suggesting we will be making a club record bid for 28-year-old (29 in December) Steven N’Zonzi. He is a defensive midfielder who plays for Sevilla, not a position we are looking to purchase for. The actual story gives a Sevilla valuation and suggets the price wouldn't put us off, it doesn't suggest we will be making a bid.

Zeelo are running a new coach service allowing Spurs fans from Hoddesdon, Broxbourne, Cheshunt, Bishops Stortford, Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City, Stansted Mountfitchet and Harlow to get quick and cheap transport directly to Wembley Stadium for every game this season. The cost, only £5 one way.

"With the move to Wembley, Spurs fans will have to get long, indirect trains and tubes across London or drive and pay expensive car park charges at all of the matches. We want to make travel to games as quick and painless as possible so fans have more time to enjoy the match and not worry about parking and queues."
