Perhaps Aurier is not the problem he is painted as

TRANSFER TALK

Random Fact - Spurs target Ross Barkley created more chances (21) from outside the final third in the Premier League last season than any other player.

Serge Aurier is another player left out of a pre-season tour squad and Paris Saint-Germain head coach Unai Emery confirmed that the 24-year-old (25 in December) Ivory Coast international (he has 39 full international caps, scoring 1 goal) wants to leave the Ligue 1 giants amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Juventus.

The 1.75 m (5 ft 9 in) tall African Cup of Nations 2015 winner also holds a French passport so there are no work permit issues. He has picked up a few trophies with PSG as well so has that experience which may help our young team get over the line and pick up some silverware this season.

Paris Saint-Germain Honours

  • Trophée des Champions: 2014, 2015, 2016
  • Coupe de la Ligue: 2014–15, 2015–16, 2016–17
  • Ligue 1: 2014–15, 2015–16
  • Coupe de France: 2014–15, 2015–16, 2016-17
On 26 September 2016, Aurier was found guilty of assaulting a police officer outside a nightclub in Paris. He was sentenced to two months in prison, but remained at liberty pending an appeal. The issue here is not the assault when drunk, but the drinking in the first place, which I presume is a kncock-on effect of his issues with head coach Emery.

All the reported problems seem to stem from that so his attitude may not be the issue it is being made out to be by some and I'm sure it is something we will have done our homework on.
