Juventus NOT signing Spurs striker target Schick

TRANSFER TALK

Juventus have decided not to sign young Czech Republic international striker Partick Schick after medical tests showed an inflammation of the heart.

He is a player we strongly tried to sign and it remains to be seen whether we will now go back in for him, although the Sampdoria president has suggested he could raise his transfer fee now the player's release clause fee has expired. We would no doubt want a reduction of the fee should we go in for the 21-year-old (22 next January).

Standing 6 ft 1 in (1.87m) tall, the left-footed centre-forward, who has 5 full international caps in which he has scored 1 goal, is under contract until 2020. Reports from Italy suggest Inter Milan are now favourites for his signature, mind you they seem to have been linked with every player under the sun.

Last season he scored 11 Serie A goal in 32 games, although his playing time was only 1.504 minutes, the equivalent to just 16.71 games. He also had 5 assists so on average was involved in a goal every game.
