Transfer talk - King and Rodriguez

TRANSFER TALK

Bournemouth striker, 25-year-old (26 next January) Joshua King says he was concentrating on finishing the season well but pointed out he was aware of Tottenham interest. Clearly this would have given him a spur and he will have wanted to perform to impress further, which could only benefit the South Coast club towards the end of the playing season.

The right-footed Norwegian international (he has 28 full international caps scoring 7 goals) is under contract until 2020 and scored 16 goals in 36 Premier League games with a further 2 assists. He scored 2 goals in his first 17 games and 14 in his last 19, which is an impressive strike rate once he had found his feet after moving from Blackburn on 1 July 2015.

Madrid based newspaper El Confidencial understand that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing 25-year-old (26 in July) Real Madrid star James Rodriguez this summer. Really, when Mauricio Pochettino says we can't sign players like Alvaro Morata? The Spaniards are asking more for Rodriguez than they are for Morata, they are said to want £70 million (€80.08m - AUS$117.07m - US$89.07m).

The Colombian has been linked with Chelsea, Manchester United, PSG and Juventus plus unrealistically with Arsenal who are keen to offer him the chance to play in the UEFA Europa League.
