Tottenham are reportedly interested in 24-year-old (25 next March) Grêmio forward Luan Guilherme de Jesus Vieira, but are we?

Grêmio  President Romildo Bolza values Luan at the same price as Gabigol, who has been a complete flop at Inter Milan since his transfer last August (he has played just 111 minutes of Serie A football), £23.8 million (€27m - AUS$39.78m - US$30.06m).

Our unreliable press claimed Liverpool made an offer a month ago £26 million, which is news to the Grêmio president! More invention from our press and the price totally wrong too.

The stories emanated because he refused to sign a contract extension, Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal names have been thrown at the story, the fake Liverpool bid reported and now we hear reports from Brazil that he has done a U-turn and wants to sign a new contract. All very familiar and not unexpected. Use the threat of loss to force the club to offer a better deal and then tell the fans you never wanted to leave in the first place.
