Transfer talk - youngster on the radar

TRANSFER TALK

Talented teen Kundai Benyu expected to leave Ipswich Town this summer after enjoying a successful loan spell with the Aldershot Town. He has been tracked by Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, Aston Villa and Glasgow Celtic.

Benyu arrived at the EBB Stadium on loan in December making 23 appearances and scoring five goals with a further three assists as Aldershot mounted a successful challenge for the National League play-off places.

They finished 5th behind winners Lincoln City, runners-up Tranmere Rovers, Forest Green and Dagenham and Redbridge with Dover Athletic in 6th.

The 19-year-old (20 in December) English (born in Camden) central midfielder is out of contract this summer and has yet to agree a new deal.

We are long time admirers having invited him to be a part of our NextGen Series squad last summer in Amsterdam. he fell out with Ipswich manager Mick McCarthy but to his credit has admitted that it was his attitude that was the problem. he isn't the fist and won't be the last to believe he should be playing.

Should we bring him in then obviously he would be part of the Development Squad and one for the future.
