TRANSFER TALK

Tottenham had three meeting with the father (his agent) of Schalke midfielder Max Meyer last summer in an attempt to sign the German international (he has 4 caps and has scored 1 goal). Perhaps we will go back in for him this summer.

The 21-year-old (22 in September) is at the right age for us and has plenty of experience in the Bundesliga, where we bought Son Heung-min from (Bayer Leverkusen). He took a time to adapt but has been a huge hit this season.

Meyer has played 122 Bundesliga games, scoring 17 goals and having 17 assists. By comparison Son Heung-min had played 135 Bundesliga games, scoring 35 goals and having 10 assists.

Meyer will have plenty of offers, Liverpool have already made contact with Schalke for the attacking midfielder who has been put up for sale by the German club because he only has a year left on his contract and according to German newspaper Bild favours a transfer over signing a new contract.
