Building success, the latest news shows Pochettino knows what he is doing

I'm not sure why everyone is reporting our interest in 24-year-old (35 in May) Dani Alves as a change of policy at Tottenham because it isn't.

Our transfer policy is to buy young and improve their ability and thus their transfer value. It was stated that we would be looking at players under the age of 27 unless they were special. Alves has been one of the best in his position in world football for what seems like an eternity.

Early days but he would be a significant replacement for Walker and someone both Kieran Trippier and Kyle walker-Peters would benefit from training alongside and learning from, as would all the young members of the squad.
