Bruma Spurs £12.5m deal or no deal, make your minds up!

TRANSFER TALK

Tottenham target 23-year-old (24 in December) Bruma, the Portuguese Under-21 international winger at Turkish side Galatasaray has asked the club for a 100% rise in his wages, which unsurprisingly their Board of Directors have turned down.

They informed the player of a transfer proposal from Tottenham Hotspur, which they sent him to consider. They go on to say that no official offer has been made by us and that there is no secret agreement with us for a fee.

This follows a Turkish Football report that Galatasaray and Tottenham have agreed a £12.5 million (€14.76m - AUS$20.70m - US$15.73m) fee. They say 'informal' talks have taken place and a deal has been agreed.

This is the grey area of football where you can deny something in public because it isn't in writing but still agree on something verbally. Thus both stories can be true and nobody is lying.

He is right footed, so in these modern times he plays on the left and has only a year left on his contract at Galatasaray.

The fact that Galatasaray admits there is a proposal from us and don't mention anyone else is interesting and perhaps suggests we are his choice.
