Stats show the importance of Eriksen today

Christian Eriksen started the season slowly once again and then picked up his performances after he had signed a new contract with quiet rumours circulating that he would only be at the club another season.

Our progress, we are challenging at the top of the Premier League again, but with little chance of success, may mean that he will stay longer. It isn't that he is unhappy at the club but some players are driven by trophies and financially bigger clubs have taken an interest in him and continue to watch him.

Losing him is an eventuality we have to plan for, as we have to for every player. He would leave a hole to fill given our backup wide men have been absent or poor this season. His importance to us can be seen in the statistics below.

We need him to step up to the plate today and produce a performance that helps us to victory.
