Problems with Pochettino mean Sissoko will leave

His problems with Mauricio Pochettino make summer signing Moussa Sissoko looks certain to leave Spurs in the summer

French coach Didier Deschamps told L’Equipe that Moussa Sissoko might have a problem with Mauricio Pochettino.

“He is playing very little. It is likely [there’s a problem with Pochettino], but I don’t want to get into the debate. His late transfer meant that he started the journey without the preparation.”

This rather suggest that Moussa Sissoko has a mentality issue, it perhaps suggests that he thinks he should be guaranteed a place in whatever team he is playing for, as was the case at Newcastle United. By guaranteed a place I mean an automatic selection before anyone starts talking contracts.

It sounds like the big fish in a little pond syndrome, some players prefer that and can't perform consistently when  they are just one of a number of talented players. That certainly seems to be the case with Sissoko at Spurs.

Didier Deschamps will know the situation at Spurs, he will have discussed it with Sissoko so if he suggests there is a problem, then there undoubtedly is. It would seem then that Sissoko has not bought into the Pochettino philosophy, which adds fuel to the flames suggesting he will be leaving in the summer.

If that is the case he won't be missed, whatever he goes on to do.
