An eco step towards ensuring North London is Tottenham Hotspur blue

Tottenham Hotspur are once again giving back to the community in a manner not seen in the Premier League before. That is not a surprise given Spurs history of innovation and success that has paved the way for other clubs.

While the new stadium brings tourism into the borough and undoubtedly generates spin-off revenue for traders and the local community as well as being the catalyst for bringing regeneration money into the borough, plus the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation charity, regarded as one of the best in the Premier League, running projects in and for the benefit of the local community, that is not enough for Spurs.

Now the club have submitted a planning application to Enfield Borough Council for the THFC Environmental Centre and Nature Reserve.

It is another move that will help to turn North London into a Tottenham Hotspur zone for tourists. There isn't going to be just a stadium, but a stadium that holds NFL football and other events, plus a skywalk and climbing centre to add new activities to the area, Michelin star restaurant, the renaming of a train station and now a nature reserve, all promoting Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal are getting left behind as Tottenham progress with firmly establishing the name Tottenham Hotspur to the consciousness of new markets. It is a clearly well thought out marketing strategy to promote us.

As I have mentioned many times before, to achieve success, you must have a clearly defined strategy, then you can simply follow it through and the strategy to make us a world class football club and a name in the tourism industry is clearly being seen.

The training facility is one of the best in the world and the nature reserve will help the school children of the borough engage with wildlife in a way that isn't easy in built up areas. Having been brought up in the country myself I consider it a million times better for children to have access to nature on their doorstep.

An extract from the official website where I suggest you visit to read the full news.

• The scheme represents a major long-term investment by the Club, builds on the success of the delivery of the Enfield community programming over the last six years and is a significant extension to the S106 commitment
• The facility would include a purpose-built education facility with classrooms and a nature reserve with boardwalks, wildflower walks and meadow, and ponds for outdoor-based learning alongside a top level multi-use sports pitch
• The Nature Reserve would be managed by Capel Manor College who would offer a dedicated education programme that will be designed and delivered in consultation with teachers from Enfield and linked to the National Curriculum
A blue wave is being painted across North London, red is like the reduced priced food in a shop I know in Luton, out of date.
