Week 25

Premier League Week 25

Week 24 is completed with us still in second place, having strengthened the position with our 1-0 win over Middlesbrough. Spurs goal difference is like an extra point against the chasing pack so although we are only one point ahead of Manchester City, they need two points to overhaul us.

Thanks to a defeat this week, if Arsenal beat a resurgent Hull City then they will remain below us on goal difference. Manchester United can temporarily overtake Liverpool before the late game against us to heap more pressure on the beleaguered side.

Liverpool are the 7th best team in the country at home having won 7, drawn 3 and lost only 1. They have scored 29 and let in 11 goals in 11 games.
Spurs are the 6th best team away having won 4, drawn 6 and lost just 2. We have scored 20 and let in 11 in 12 games.
The five-game form table sees us in 2nd place and Liverpool in 15th having not won in any of their last 5 games.
