it has emerged that Mauricio Pochettino likes Fiorentina winger Federico Bernardeschi and that we are tracking him as just one of our wide attacker options.
A deal is highly unlikely though as few teams actually want to sell their players mid-way through a season. It is too disruptive, you have to gamble on a replacement hitting the ground running straight away, which if they don't, could ruin the season.
Bernardeschi is thought to be being watched by Barcelona, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain. Naturally, the Italian side wants to tie the 22-year-old (23 in February) down to a contract extension and as is normal in Europe a big release clause as insurance against predators.
