Gabbiadini, Falque, Chiriches, Townsend and Tottenham targets

TRANSFER TALK

Marcelo Bielsa is the new coach of Lazio and he has asked the club to buy 28-year-old Chilean defensive midfielder Mauricio Isla at Marseille on loan from Juventus.

The Italians are also reported to be releasing two players Spurs have been tracking, 25-year-old Argentinian attacking midfielder Ronerto Pereyra and 22-year-old Gabonese defensive midfielder Mario Lemina.

Tottenham Hotspur linked Manolo Gabbiadini is a 24-year-old (25 in November) Italian who plays as a forward or winger for Serie A club Napoli. he also interests West Ham and the Champions League side have turned down an offer of £19.14-million (EUR25m - AUS$37.64m - US$28.49m) from Stoke City.

Also in Italy, former Tottenham player Iago Falque has agreed a loan move with a purchase option from Roma to Torino. The two clubs have discussed the  deal as part of another deal and Falque agreed to it.

Sassuolo want to sign former Tottenham Hotspur car crash Vlad Chiriches who, surprise surprise, has not been able to break into a Napoli side that finished second in Serie A.

Another former player Andros Townsend mat be on the move. There have been reports that he has agreed to stay at Newcastle United after their relegation, but there is also a clause in his contract that allows him to leave in the event of relegation. WBA want him to go to the Hawthorns but it is unlikely that would be a suitable destination for him given their style of football. WBA are said to be offering Newcastle Callum McManaman in return.
