Predicted line-up vs Watford
Watford at the weekend at White Hart Lane and another game where we need no slip-up. We must maintain the level of performance which comes from our belief, our mentality, our motivation and our one game at a time approach.
In the post last night, at least, last night here in the UK, I talked about the squad rotation, how Ben Davies and Danny Rose, for instance, had played almost the same amount of minutes this season.
We always have to keep in mind the games we have to come but we must also look when they are. With a week off the boys went to Barcelona for some reast and relaxation. They were training still of course but mentally they could switch off, do some shopping or some sight seeing.
After the Watford game is another week off before we take on Manchester City so further chance to recharge the batteries. With that in mind, Mauricio Pochettino may keep Kyle Walker in the side or he may rest him with City in mind and Fiorentina coming up.
Which full-backs do you play against them, that may impact who plays against Watford, it may not. We will want the strongest side against them so will Trippier play the UEFA Europa League and this game or will he be saved until that game. The are arguments both ways and it is a similar story on the left.
Son Heung-min could retain his place, he could make way for Lamela. It will be interesting to see who plays against City and who starts in the Europa League. The squad has been performing so well that picking a first eleven for each game is not as simple as it used to be. my predicted starting XI is:
