Being picked to play is a prize that has to be earned, so why wouldn't you do everything you could to improve past your rival teammates? If they are striving to improve then you push each other. During periods of war, the advances in technology are greater than at times of peace. The Second World War saw dramatic technological change. Germany control Europe financially now so have achieved what they fought two World wars for.
Tottenham have seen dramatic change this season, the step to the next level was a big one, results suggest we have made that leap, but we can't rest, we must continue to strive to improve, as we will. The squad will be added to in the summer, there will be departures and Alex Pritchard will start afresh, Josh Onomah will be a year older with some experience under his belt.
