Spurs missing more clear cut chances than anyone

I have often spoken of the need to be more clinical in games as it will cost us points. People seem to think tightening a defence is all we have to do or add a new striker, it's really the ned to be more clinical in front of goal that has he;d us back for a good many years.

Spurs have missed the most clear cut chances in the Premier League this season (8). Ryan Mason responsible for most of those (3)

Emmanuel Adebayor was a prime example, as far as he is concerned if er were 2-0 up he gave up, he simply moved back into midfield and passed the ball around sideways when what he should have been doing was to score a third and fourth.

You have to train yourself to be clinical, you can't just turn it on and off when you feel like it. If we are 2-0 up, 3-0 up then that is the time to practice being clinical, bury sides, don't just be content to beat them. You don't have to take risks, the opposition are doing that, but we should be exploiting the opportunities that that creates and we consistently haven't over the years.

I have always maintained that if you do that then when it is 0-0 your trained clinical finishing is more likely to come to the fore than if you don't take the training opportunities offered. We have already dropped points this season because of it, but we rarely seem to do anything about it. We seem to trade in just doing enough, how many games did we win by 1 goal last season?
