Tottenham are making a late move for former Arsenal defensive midfielder Alex Song. The former Arsenal man was transferred to Barcelona, but it didn't work out for him there and there tried to offload him last summer. In the end he went to West Ham on loan and they are keen to sign him permanently.
Song has kept his options open and now with our main targets seemingly haven fallen by the wayside Song has now come to the fore.
Chelsea have made an inquiry for PSG centre-back Marquinhos, the 21-year-old Brazilian who Barcelona tried to sign. Just like them Chelsea received a flat no, under no circumstances is he for sale.
Fellow Brazilian Neymar has reassured Barcelona fans that he is going nowhere amid suggestions that Manchester United are making overtures towards him. Louis van Gaal is trying to emulate Real Madrid and compile a side of Galacticos. To that end they have offered Real Madrid £65-million (€89.49m) plus David de Gea for former Tottenham star Gareth Bale, who wishes to remain at the La Liga side.
The story of Napoli interest in Mousa Dembélé never had any legs with his regular starts in a new role. He appears to have turned the corner in his head and is looking more threatening now. He thanked the Spurs fans for cheering, singing and applauding him off when he departed on a stretcher.
It appears Napoli only wanted him on loan and we know the Tottenham policy on loans, they hold no benefit unless there is a compulsory purchase at the end of them. It appears though as if we have no interest in selling him and the injury will have put paid to him departing.
