Tottenham are building the club for the future. mauricio Pochettino is asembling a young team, a young squad who are all hungry to play and to improve.
The important thing though is that there is a continuous conveyor belt of young talnt. Players will leave that is a fact of life, but if there is someone ready to tak their place who knows our system nside out then it minimises any disruption, we are not forever rebuilding or repairing.
To achieve a conveyor belt Tottenham have to go after the best young talent in the world and this window has shown we are willing to do that. While Tottenham are in America it will be a busy week. Negotiators will be trying to secure a deal for 19-year-old (20 in March) Timo Werner, who appears to be our first choiuce young striker. If we are unable to convince Stuttgart to sell or convince the German to join us then we'll turn our attentions to WBA striker Saido Berahino it seems.
The number one defensive midfield option is now 24-year-old (25 in February) Christoph Kramer at Bayer Leverkusen with 26-year-old (27 in April) Sven Bender of Borussia Dortmund as a backup option.
Looking further forward though French newspaper L'Equipe reported we made a bid for 19-year-old (20 in January) Leroy Sané but he decided to pena new deal with Schalke until 2019 a few days ago. L'Equipe report we made an £8.57 million (US$13.30m - AUS$18.23m - €12m) bid for the attacking midfielder which was turned down.
We continue to have an interest on 23-year-old (24 in February) Bosnian Tino-Sven Sušić of Hadlguk Split. He is an attacking midfielder who can play in a deeper midfield role as well. He has 7 fukk caps for Bosnia-Herzegovina and is a product of th Belgium youth system. Inter Milan have been long time admirers and Leicester City are taking an interest to. It is reported that he wants to move to the Premier League which probably means he'll end up in Italy.
