Spurs scouting future superstar

Staying in Belgium with more scouting reports of who we have been watching towards the end of the season. Spurs have regularly sent scouts to Club Brugge.

If interest to us is 19-year-old (20 in January) Belgian Obbi Oulare who plays for Club Brugge in Belgian Pro League. We went to the Anderlecht vs Club Brugge game in May and also the Club Brugge games against Charleroi & Standard Liege but unfortunately Oulare was on the bench for all three games.

He is a 1.96m (6ft 5in) right footed striker with a contract until 2018. Oulare scored 7 goals with 4 assists in 30 games in all competitions. That may sound like a lot of games but he only played 1,101 minutes which equates to 12.23 full games. He scored a goal every 157 minutes and contributed a goal or an assist every 100 minutes.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Everton, Stoke City and Borussia Dortmund are all watching him. Stijn Haeldermans is the players agent and he confirmed at the end of April that top clubs across Europe are interested in his client.

"I am aware that the scouts of the top teams in England and Germany are watching Obbi Oulare.  At this moment, I am in talks with some of the big clubs from these two competitive leagues as he has a very interesting profile.
"He has made very good progress this season and if he continues to develop, he can become a top striker in one of the top leagues in the future.
"Obbi is a young player and is aware that scouts are watching him. On the other hand, he is very stable and is just focused on his game. As he performs, he will attract more interest.
"At this moment, it is very important for Obbi to focus on the remaining games. Brugge are at the top of the [Championship Play-Off] table and have a very good chance of qualifying for next season's Champions League.
"I think for Obbi, he can fit in well in the Premier League and Bundesliga. He is a young player and it is important for him to make the right choice when he selects the next club. He needs to develop in order to become a top player."

He certainly has the profile of a player we should be interested in. Everyone is searching for the next Didier Drogba as opposed to the next Emmanuel Adebayor. As you can image with his height he is excellent in the air but also has power, speed and technique. Coupled with that he has the finishing ability to go with it, it's believed he is destined to go to the very top.

He is good off the ball, has an instinct for the game and is excellent in one-on-one situations. He is ideally suited to a 4-2-3-1 formation and is a youngster we should do all we can to entice to the club.
