Lewis Holtby not coming back to Spurs

There have been fans on forums placing Lewis Holtby in their squad for next season and hoping we keep him, that is not the case.



Holtby went on loan to Hamburg for the season with an option to buy at the end of that. The 24-year-old has repeatedly said he will remain at Hamburg and reiterated that to German newspaper Bild in April.

"I have been quite clear about this club. If that happens I will take responsibility and play for HSV in the second division."

His loan spell is at an end on 30 June and he'll become a Hamburg player on 1 July for £5.72 million (US$8.90m - AUS$11.48m - €7.91m).

  2. Shame if he is sold as he was never really given a chance. In the odd games he played he looked a good prospect, just needed more games to gain confidence and used to the system and the team. I liked his work ethic.
  3. Big shame, we should definitely of kept him as competition for Eriksen week in week out. Instead our fabled St.Christi does play like he knows there is no competition, too many sluggish performances last year
  4. should definately keep him and with his passion he should be captain for the europacup games.I bet a lot of you fans don,t like this suggestion.COYS.
