VIDEO - Fan Experience is the tip of the iceberg

When I was given permission to use Spurs TV videos on this website I emailed my opinions of the fare being served up, which was, in my opinion, lacking quality. I put forward many suggestions how Spurs TV could engage better with the fans and provide a higher quality service.

One of those suggestions was that they should produce a fans experience video to show people from all round the world who can't make it to White Hart Lane what it's like on match day, both outside the ground and inside.

It seems that someone has been taking note of my suggestions as we now have a Fans Experience video from Spurs TV surrounding the North London Derby and to relate it to fans around the globe have sought the views of fans from different parts of the world outside the ground, another suggestion.

Spurs TV could be a powerful tool if used right so removing the 'kids in awe of idols' blandness that came shining through before and upgrading to provide quality content is essential to not only inform and entertain the fans but to assist in further fanbase growth abroad.

Some of my other suggestions include videos of training, but i forgot to specify with a voice over from a coach educating the viewer as to what is happening and why, and an open day for owners of Tottenham Hotspur specific blogs and website with access to staff and players for brief interviews, similar to the open day they hold for the press.

Brad Friedel conducted a training session for the media as part of his coaching badge, that's certainly something that could also be held for Spurs specific blog and website owners to gain valuable unique content and spread the Tottenham word.

It would help the club engage with the fanbase and again if the day is recorded demonstrates how the club is working with fans to grow the brand all around the world. Why wait for someone else to take the lead, why don't Tottenham be innovative and work with us, that would be a news story with press releases and on going video stories from Spurs TV showing the clubs innovation. There is so much that could be done in this day and age that isn't done.

If you wish to open a shop selling, TV's say, the best place to open it is where there are other TV shops as opposed to isolated on your own. Choice attracts visitors and you'll receive more visitors than if you were isolated and therefore have a greater number of chances to make sales. Blogs and websites are no different, we are not and should not be isolated thinking we are the must go to place, we are not.

We bring sense to nonsense, we raise awareness, we give opinion, we write to garner an opinion or reaction, each article has it's own agenda. What we do is spread the word about Tottenham, the more information about the club there s the more the fanbase will grow. We offer a vehicle to promote the brand to all parts of the world, this blog for instance is read in 200 countries for instance, over half a million page views a month is a regular occurrence.
