Adebayor should watch Kane and learn

Opinion rages on Emmanuel Adebayor, Mauricio Pochettino wants to booing to stop and the man himself tells us he plays better if everyone has confidence in him.

Adebayor should watch Kane and learn
Whatever has happened in the past he is still a Spurs player and if he wants to be a regular in the team then he will have to show that in training. Adebayor is on a high wage, Kane is on a relatively low wage but Adebayor needs to learn from Kane.

If he wants to know how to win back the fans then he has to produce performances like Kane produces and I don't just mean the goalscoring, but his all round game. In the second half today when Arsenal had an attack and we were defending our box, the ball was cleared. Kane got to the ball first five yards inside his own half, took the ball on his chest, held it up with three men around him, went backwards, took it round an Arsenal player and played it onto a teammate.

So not only does he score every type of goal but he can hold the ball up to. Now we know Adebayor can do that but to be honest, doesn't seem to do it as well as Kane. He doesn't get off as many shots, he doesn't seem to create the chances for himself that Kane does.

Official statistics show that Harry Kane runs 25% more during a game than Emmanuel Adebayor and therein lies part of the problem. The Togo international wants to walk around when the opposition have the ball. In his last appearance he started running around trying to put in some effort. It was a start, it was ineffective but a start. In his next cameo or opportunity he has to embrace the tactics and his role within them.

In the meantime he has to watch Harry Kane and learn from him, he has to put his ego away and learn how to play the role from his junior. When was the last time Adebayor ran at players like Kane and beat them, it's almost as if what he does he does at three-quarters pace where can is at full throttle. He has to find that missing drive from somewhere, play his game in the team system, but bring what he can bring to the table.

He could get his chance soon when we have West Ham and Fiorentina to play in the week leading up to the Capital One Cup Final.  We will need to give Kane a rest for the second leg so he or Soldado will have a role to play.
